"Calm" Final Comments

Post your final  comments about our book here.  You may want to think about what chapter spoke to you the most, what you took away from the book overall, or what passage was your favorite.

Also, I would appreciate any comments on what you liked about the experience, or what I could have done better :)

Get Back in the Game!

Ok, I don't know about you, but I am ready to stop being complacent and get back in the game!  I know that summer is a super busy time for everybody, but no more excuses.  I want us to finish the Linda Dillow book and post final comments by July.

I also want to take Jenna's suggestion and have us all write and post our mission statements.  Don't take this task lightly.  Pray about it.  Talk to God and ask him to reveal this to you.  Listen to the Holy Spirit.  When you are ready, post your mission statement for all of us to see and ask God to help you follow it.

I have been praying and have come up with a new project for us.  I will have it all worked out by July, but I sort of want to keep it a secret for now:)  I will need your full commitment with this!  I know that we are all strong in our faith, but I want us to be stronger.  I want us to grow closer to God through His word and through our relationship with each other.  I want us to be the disciples that God calls us to be.  I want the passion inside our hearts to radiate outwards and show other people what a relationship with Jesus can be like. "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 7:21.

I don't want us to be perfect Christians, a contradictory concept in itself, but i do want us to push ourselves beyond our comfort zones and see the great things God can work through us.  "Jesus replied, 'Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and it will be done.  If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:21-22

So, you have two things to accomplish
1. Finish the Linda Dillow book and post your final comments
2. Write and post your mission statement

I love you all very much and keep you all in my prayers.  Get ready for July and our new project!  Even though you don't know yet what we are doing, I will take any suggestions you have for the blog.

XOXO Libby

Catching Up

Hello Ladies!  I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten you.  I really want us to finish up this book and then decide what we want to do next.  Maybe we could take a break from reading other books for a while and just make a commitment to read the Bible and challenge each other to do some "good deeds" in the name of Jesus throughout the week and then share out experiences.  I certainly want us to get in the habit of checking the blog weekly again.

Be diligent in your walk with Jesus.

XOXO

Prayer and Praise

Here is a new place to post prayer and praise requests.  I want us to continue to pray for one another and become better Prayer Warriors!

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.  Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.  Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."  Ephesians 6:18-20

Chapter 8: Worry is Like a Rocking Chair

Chapter eight's title is very interesting.  Have you ever heard this before?  By the end of the chapter, I'm sure Linda will explain it.  I come from a family of worriers.  Worrying is in my blood!  But I have learned to accept God's Peace and stop worrying.  I still find worry trying to overtake me, but instead of buying into it, I turn to God.

Praise God for his Awesome Peace!

XOXO
